Golf Outing (maybe it will be an annual thing...)
It is starting again...but will it last
There has been talk in the past years of resurrecting the annual holiday golf outing. We played in the 90s on Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day. Some young offspring said they would coordinate the outing. But it has been several years, their families grew, and time was a luxury, so nothing has materialized.
The Executive Committee gathered one weekend and decided that the younger generation needed a little push to get things started. Maybe one day they will continue the tradition if they can handle the responsibility.
Alas, the EC came out of retirement to try to jump start the annual event that was all the talk around Evansville (at least among the people that played and enjoyed the pot luck banquet in the evening at the Theriac's compound).
Rules for the outing
USGA Rules Apply
- Two person scramble
- Teammates can be requested (Both parties need to agree. A contract will be drafted for signatures.)
- Longest drive - #16 (tentatively)
- Closest-to-the pin - #8 (tentatively)
- One mulligan per golfer per 9 holes
